E30 Zone

Hi,

So I have just purchased an Eibach Rear ARB, complete with droplinks and mounts.

Why? Well, a quick google shows they go for around £300 with the front one..so about £150 for the rear on it's own then? Saw this on on Ebay and managed to get it for £69 So I guess I should be able to get my money back on this if I decide to ditch it.

So, could anyone tell me the pro's and con's of fitting one of these? My E30 currently doesn't have one, and has the thinner version on the front, (19mm?)

Will this cause problems? A relativly weak front one, coupled with an aftermarket, and I assume, -ahem- stiffer rear one?

Have had a look on this forum, and that seems to be the case.

This auction also came with a pair of front ARB mounts, and I have access to one of the larger ARB's from my dad's 325..so assuming the mounts fit it, I could always stick that on the front (DOH! Just spend hours fitting mine with new bushes )


The reason for this post is really to ask a question, should I fit this ARB? And, should I do so in combination with the larger standard E30 roll bar?

il defo take it off you if you decide to sell!
mind you i would imagine that with a stiff antiroll bar ont the rear and standard on the front you will inherit alot of oversteer: as the front pitches and yaws into a corner the rear will remain stiff and lift the inside wheel more, thus creating less grip at the rear and giving you more understeer. probably worse if you have an open diff too...
could be wrong but thats how i see it anyway
