First point of call should be to speak to the person that took your money.
But checking ht leads are securly fitted as well as the spark plugs, would be a good start.
You say it sounds different can you expand on that?
Does it idle smoothly?

Castrol Edge is wrong for an E30. Its fully synthetic.

Well previously it sounded like bit of a whistling sort of sound but not in one tone ..i cant really put in to words how it sounded....lets say NOW it sounds like an 318iS ...sounds smooth but obviously not pulling well in any gear...engine seems working harder...took it to m62 to see if it sort of opnes up ..but in 5th gear...it was struggling ...not responsive at all.. i mean really working hard to go fast...the sounds previously was more BASSY ...now its stable but lacks the i don’t know tune...i know im not being very clear ...apologise for that...
Got a mate who has a rx7 with turbo ON ...it use to sound a bit like that ...but now it don’t...like vu vu vu vu vu vu ..nows its vfffffffff ...if you get what i mean
...i will definatley speak to the guy who serviced it for meon monday ....

The type of oil you have won't make any difference in this case. Sounds like your plug leads might have been put on wrong. You may also have an air leak from somewhere. Sounds like something has been disturbed during the service. Check all the hoses and electrical connectors on the engine, and see if anythings hanging off or broken.
Next time take it to someone who knows what they're doing!

Someone recommended 10/40 semi synth for my e30 and its certainly quietened it down
