Cracked alloy wheel

One of my alloys has a crack on the inner rim. I was told that I can put some liquid metal on it and file/sand it down to stop the tyre losing air.
Is this a recommended method or is there any other way to repair the wheel.
Its an azev, and I'm having difficulty in finding a replacement.

Any suggestions?

the reccomended method would be to TIG weld it and then clean it up.

if the area is not sturctural then why not try some liquid metal, just make sure it is compatible with Aluminium

Cheers MrLee30.

The wheel has already been filled with liquid metal, and its in a bit of a blob.
How do I file it down as to put a tyre on the wheel? I'll only be using it as a spare.

I've had one of my Hartge wheels TIG welded. It had a radial crack in the inside rim flange.
Haven't had it on the car yet, so I can't comment on the success of failure of the weld.
Personally I wouldn't be trying to repair a wheel with liquid metal.

Same thing I thought.
Only problem is that it has been done already, so i'm wondering if to take it to a welders and see if they can remove the liquid metal and re-do it with a tig weld.
