Firstly, I want to replace my 6 button OBC with an Analogue clock. Anybody know which wires from the OBC loom need to be connected to which on the Analogue clock?

I really do not want to replace the brake line as i dont have the tools, but it would be a big job to get at it again in the future. - anyone in cardiff that can help?
With the clock, surely i dont just match the colours??

i think you will find the plug for the clock taped up in the main dash loom if you have a root around where the clock fits, the obc uses a separate loom so the clock plug is just left dissconected, clever those jerry types

Those brake lines look ripe to me, especially the RH one
You have max access now so why not do them now?

I will have a root around for the connector - that would be amazing!
I dont want to do the brake lines as i have never done them and cant really afford the special flaring tools required.

Unless you know a MOT test station where the tester walks around waving a white stick in front of him, that brake pipe leaving the tee piece to the right is going to cost you your 12 months ticket. You should definitely consider changing every hard lines at the back, and all the flexibles as well. They are extremely difficult to change once the rear beam is in place.
You can use genuine steel pipes from BMW, or you could buy a coil of cupro nickel brake pipe, some ends, cut the pipes to length, and then take them to a garage to get them flared.

ok, thank you that's all the encouragement i need. I am going to a garage to get my bushes pressed in out of arms, beams etc this afternoon, so iwill see if they can do it.
incidentally - i just got a full MOT!! its not the first item i found that should have been an MOT fail - my rear discs were only 6mm thick! thanks for the advice.

Go back to the place that did the MOT test. Make a few noises with 'VOSA' amongst them, and they may be willing to do it for free.
