Old/ Stale fuel

With my collection of scrap on the drive, I now have 2 E30 fuel tanks removed from cars.
The tank from the touring, which had about 1/4 tank of juice in it when I binned it in October. Then the tank taken from the chromie which probably has about £10 worth of fuel in it from November time.
Obviously I can't just tip it down the drain.
Do you reckon a car would run like a dog on it? The soarer has knock sensors

I'd add it a bit at a time to a tank that was at least half full. I certainly wouldn't waste it!

IIRC it usually goes "off" in about 6 months or so(that's why bikers drain the tanks or add fuel conditioner over the winter months)
I'm guessing here Lee, but if you were to mix a little of the old stuff occasionally with a 1/2 tank(or more) of fresh fuel, you may get off with it.

i usually just use old stuff in a wee runaround. you got any extremely non performance oriented cars. atleast then you dont need to worry about pre ignition or knocking on a runaround.

any car that eats fuel in a none meausred way like a e30 or old range rover or ford. would be fine on it .
i would tip it in, see how it runs and top up if its not great.
or tip it in the garden mower or lite fires with it if its that yellow and old.

Seems ok when she goes back on the road in the spring

I bought a 325i a few years back that had lay for around 2 years and it had around half a tank. it fired up and drove onto the trailer with no issues.. it got fixed and went through its test with the same fuel in it.. all i did was stuck some redex fuel treatment in and gave it a bit of a clean out on its way to the test...

My 84 318i started with 18 month old fuel
my cabby had been sat for around at least 6 month + that i know of with old fuel in (not much like) but still started fine on it and ran fine, untill it ran out

the dvla says it hasnt been on the road since october 2007 so could of been older
