i have the same problem, and also, i called an auto tune up company who can out and paid them Ԛ£30 to tell me that the car has no o2 sensor or has a fault with it when the car never came with one?? im gettin a new engine loom and going to bmw to get a new connector thing for the injector loom and see if that does it.

i would replace the ICV and be done with it, thats what i did and it fixed the problem

Check ALL the intake pipes mate.
Had all sorts of trouble in the past usually resulting in a bad idle. Was someone here...Sal i think suggested it and i checked all the rubber bits. Solved the problem and got the idle back as it should have been.

Check your fuel regulator that is located near your N/s rear wheel as these get badly rusted and worn drawing air in with the fuel causing poor idle,also take theICV off and clean it with carb cleaner as they are Ԛ£70 a time and replacing is expense when they last longer than a year
