E30 Zone

hi to all, i have an ongoing problem with my E30 325. its an absolute pig to start at times it just spins and spins and then fires up and runs really lumpy for a while before clearing. other times it fires up first click of the key !! also normally when warming up in most gears as im starting to wind the old girl up she just dies for a split second them carries on as if all is well. this is really doing my head in and putting me off driving the car ! if anyone out there knows what could be causing these problems i would really appreciate some advise. kevin.

try the dme relay first its the white relay located on the passanger side under the bonnet under a black plastic cover

have you tried checking for air leaks on the intake side? there's an elbow pipe just behind the idle control valve, also check theres no splitsin the rubber below from the AMF. also check the crankshaft pickup sensor isn't breaking up? failing that may be your airflow meter..
