Do you know if the pump is pumping could just be a failed or cloked pump

if the pump is working, the only other thing it can really be is blocked jets.

Check for power at the pump . If you have power there I would say pump has gone

Which washer jets aren't working? Headlamp or screen?
If it's the screen washers, is it the normal wash or intensive wash that's not working?

I had this problem... it just turned out to the pipe had fallen off in the bonnet...(assuming we are talking about windscreen)

Pipe falling off won't stop the motors working.

My washer jets have been blocked on all the E30s I've owned, it seems to be a common problem and it can be a bastard to get all the crap out of them.
I got good results on my new E30 by taking them out and soaking them in very hot water, then using the G string from a steel strung acoustic guitar to have a good poke around in both the jet holes and the hole the pipe connects to. Using a pin to move the jets around in their housing a bit is also a good idea.
