so recently i've got back into e30 ownership :) the racing season is about over so in preperation for next year (moving to single seater) I've bought a 320 touring as a tow car to replace the rangey.

few teathing probs though - one of which is its missing the sunroof winder thingymebob :)

question is... one of my scrap cars has an auto roof - so is it possible to swap a manual mechanism for an auto one without to much graft? anyone done it?

cheers!
jez.

as far as im aware, you just remove the winder handle and bolt the motor on!
then wire it up.

BTW if you want a manual handle, Im the guy to see, coz i got a spare.

Bit more to it than that. The gold coloured back part of the mounting plate is similar for both electric and manual, but the black coloured front part is totally different, and is riveted to the back part.
Best way to do it is to change over the whole motor assembly and guide tubes complete, using the original inner cables.
