E30 Zone

Hi guys, im currently about to have tech 1 skirts fitted onto my cabriolet, but wanted to ask what were the correct bolts/clips to attach them at the bottom onto the sill?

Ive found the following diagram and thought the correct item would be No.12

these ive ordered and look like regular screws with washers with a hex head and the diagram doesn't really have any sign of a nut for the attachment.

Anyone know if No.12 is the correct item or if not, what I should use to bolt them on?

When I rebuilt mine (early 87 tech 1) I used this diagram to get parts. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=51&fg=20
but mine is a 2 door so may be different.

With mine and in the link that I have put, in the top picture the grommets are no 10 and fit into the holes pre-drilled in the sills.
Then no 9 (plugs), having been clipped onto the skirt, are pushed into the grommets along the length.

The no 12 that you refer to are used at each front corner to secure the skirt to the bottom edge of the wing and sill together.

BTW, you will also need 2 no 10s per side from your diagram to hold each skirt by the front wheels and 2 self tappers per side to hold the rear ends on by the back wheel.
