E30 Zone

hi i have a 325 on a f plate. when i accelarate to pull away for a split second it feels like it is going to die then it springs into life its only a very small delay. it feels like the the fuel is not ignighting at the exact time it is feed in. does anyone know what this might be. thanks for any replies

It's a characteristic of engines with flap type air meters to some degree, but is exaggerated by the fuel mixture being weaker than it should be.
A combination of minor air leaks, and injectors that are long overdue for a rebuild.
