I have a dozen E30 tourings, but I still can't work out which part you mean.
Rear wiper isn't covered by a MOT test.

right that diagram is what I saw ! But the car does not have a hook type rear wiper arm the wiper arm is metal and has a flat push on fitting that clips to the blade but whereas normal flats are 2" or so long this is or was about 4" and slides over the unfinished bare metal part of the arm . Hence my descibing it as a sleeve , any ideas? It looks original and andyp gave me one off his 316I T but that got vandalised too!
thought MOT said if fitted has to be working now?

Sure it's not just a part that comes free with whatever brand of wiper blade you're using?

Take a look in the manual and you will see that rear wipers are not covered by the test.

Failing that, IIRC, hennabm
is a MOT tester!

I think that number 5 on the Real OEM should end up to be the right part number. Its just that the drawing is inaccurate.
I got one for my old touring from the dealer (they werent silly money).
