ride height

ive got a 1989 318i 4 door and was wondering if any body knows the standard ride height because mine seems to sit quite low?
Standard ride height? Off-road comes to mind!
What colour are your springs? Standard coils are black. Lowering springs are usually red, yellow or blue...
The exception to this is Eibach, which are also black. They can be identified by the writing on them.
