I have searched on here and found some people recommending the OEM Bosch plug and others saying NGK.
Here is what real oem shows for my 320...non cat.
A bit confusing....

^^^^^^^^^^^ what they've said. It's been proven over time that the NGK suits the M20 best.

Is there any difference between NGK plugs for high and low compression 2.5s?

vs BPR6E / BPR6EIX (iridium)

ZGR5A are meant for later (approx '87 on) 320 & 325 and have a projected nose so the spark is placed further into the air/fuel mixture, apparently increasing efficiency and having the added benefit that the tip is cooled by the incoming air/fuel mixture during the induction stroke to a greater degree.
I am using these plugs on my 2.7 27 6E B/731 (many people say they don't work with the high compression of the 2.7 conversions), they remain almost immaculately clean with a pale brown colour and no signs of overheating, glazing or cracking.
To summarise: Superb plugs! (In my opinion/experience)

OK mine is 88 320 and going by the book that is ZGR5A. I see some people swear by the BPR6ES tho...
So...
NGK ZGR5A v BPR6ES

It contradicts that and makes things more confusing. So are you saying it doesn't matter if its early or late, cat or non-cat. The early plug should be used still ?

I wish the ZGR6A was still available, then I could have the best of both worlds!

I have Bosch plugs in my beamer and the car is running sweet at the moment ,they are
WR8LC+ Bosch super plus Yttrium .............
This is not to say that NGK are not good as they are a fantastic plug no doubt about it ,basically these are the first plugs I used and they have been great so I have stuck to them ...
