E30 Zone

i thought my 316i had an LSD with the way it drove(ie) i have never driven any open diff rear wheel drive car with so little power get the rear end out so easily under power.Also lit up the rears on a fairly slippy surface and both the rears spun equally a long way.then went under the car to check for the S mark on the diff casing...it was not there.So...quite confused.

If this is the way e30's behave with an open diff ans so little power...i can imagine how much fun they would be with an M30B35 and an LSD.

Sounds like you have an lsd or could have welded one fitted.
How is it to park?

What tyres do you have on the rear?

its not fully locked for sure.using the std size 14'' tyres all round.

jack it up so both wheels are off the ground ... turn one if the other one goes the same way its either an lsd or a welder

no lsd.dont know about taiml nadu but between my brother,cousinand myself we have 3 e30's.one is an 83 316 which is getting a metric 3200 sport engine conversion.the other is a 89 316i which is getting an m30b35 and mine is a std 316i which as of now is to remain std.i also have an 84 e28 which is getting an s38b36.
