I've got a fluid leak from the clutch hydraulics on my 2door that i need advice on fixing, the reservoir (sp) has drained to the point of being empty and me not being able to select gears. i managed to get onto a petrol station forecourt and top up ( or rather, fill) the clutch reservoir and bleed it from the cylinder on the gearbox and just about get the car the last 8miles or so home and not have it towed back. I assume i should be replacing both the master and slave cylinder at the same time, but which one is which and is it a bastard of a job?
Thanks in advance

If it's the slave that has failed, there will be fluid dripping from a little slot underneath the car, where the engine joins the gearbox.
If the master has failed, there will be an oily mess down behind the carpet under the pedals, destroying the paint.
A third possibility (unlikely) is a failure of the flexible hose that connects the resevoir to the master cylinder.
