Any ideas about the blobs of colour BMW put on the suspension springs?
Height?, compression rating?

Piccie shows two rear springs for a cabbie,on the left a brand new M-Tec from BMW,other is the original
As you can see,they have differing paint codes on them.

just wrecking a 84 323, the rear springs are blue bilstiens and the fronts are black bilstiens,does anyone know what this signifies?
