I was under the impression that even though it is a zip it is not designed to be opened. i changed my glass at a leather upholstory workshop. they just hand stitched a new one in.

could be wrong bout the zip though!

my old E36 cab's rear screen was cracked and i got it changed at a coach trimmers, luckliy a spare screen came with the car, the previous owner couldnt be bothered to get it changed. Think it cost me about Ԛ£40 to get it swapped over, but the screen from BMW was a couple of hundred i think?

Might be worth looking on fleabay theres usually a couple of people who do complete hoods so they may be able to help

good luck

I you look on fleabay and use the search (e30 bmw convertible roof or screen) you will come across a chap in the states who supplies complete zip in rear screens for around Ԛ£70 including fitting instructions.

Hi,

Some rear screens are stitched in others are zipped.....as I found out!

I have a genuine Zip BMW rear screen (it has been previously used so hence has some fine scartches on it, should polish up like new with some renono plastic screen polish.

As I say, Genuine BMW in otherwise excellent condition with fitting instruction and original box!) bought in error your so yours for Ԛ£85 inc postage
