Wobbling at 80mph +

Right. Ive been getting some weird feels from the car when i take it at high speed latly. I got this a few months back but i thought it might just be do to the diff in the boot and a lot of junk in the car. Then it went off.

Now that ive got my new engine in, its still the same, but as i havnt really taken the car to 100+ sort of speeds i havnt really noticed it.

Its basically as soon as i hit around 80 and over the steering wheel judders and wobbles.

Not exactly sure what it is, just to point out, i havnt had my tracking or camber sorted out since i bought the car, would this possibly be it?

I heard quick fit do it for like Ԛ£20, might be worth getting it checked and the wheels rebalanaced (as some wieghts fell off lol)

Go to Qwick fuk at your peril. personally i'd drive for an hour rather than go there.

Are your tyres rated for 100 + mph ?

Try swapping the wheels around to see if you can work out which one/two have the problem.

wheel balancing or worn suspension, stick a bar between b/joints, bush's etc.

If your wheel weights have fallen off, get them balanced first!!! Cheap and then you can rule it out immediately.
Wheel imbalance usually shows itself bout 50-60 in my experience though.

I ha the same problem, put on my 15s a few weeks ago which had new tyres fitted and were balanced, also had the wheel alignment checked and all is well now.

But not sure which one made the most difference though, so just go for the cheapest option 1st and see what difference is made.

this may sound stupid but, are you sure your wheels arent buckled, sometimes they only wobble at high speeds if this is the case, even if its just a mild buckle

in my experience unweighted wheels made me wobble at all speeds

just my 2 cence!

if the weights fell off, then it wobling because the weights fell off

or mabey u mixed up the left and right side, but that wouldnt matter on wobblin, just on direction for water displacement..

tried looking for a place for u to go and get it done... not taht easy 8O

if the steering wheel is the only thing vibrating then its balancing of the wheels. I had the same problem, but i had to buy two new tyres aswell because they were finished.

also maybe check your front wheel bearings?!?!?!

Cheers for all the advice guys. My dads going on holiday this week, but he said whens hes back he will take it into work and do it for free. Its only the steering wheel that wobbles, so hopefully it will only be balancing or tracking. Cant see it being anything else tbh.

Cheers guys
