E30 Zone

I have a 1987 320i (chrome bumper model).
A few months ago the old exhaust gave up the ghost, i have since brought a second hand standard full system from what im told is a 320.
The new system is twin pipe all the way through (my old system is single pipe) and when i tried to fit it nothing lined up, when bolted to the down pipes the centre section hung to the o/s and the back box was in totally the wrong place.
I suspect this is from a later car, does any one know if the mountings on the body are different?
Or if i can get a fill system inc downpipes will this fit?

Have a look at the GSF parts site. I think there are variations on the older cars. Probably best to fit and all new 2 part system.
