i have noticed the bracket that the motor of the middle unit bolts onto has broken. is this bracket replaceable or is it a complete unit?

Which bracket did you mean is it shown on either of these diagrams

this thread might give a little more insight

if it is the motor you can buy a new top half in steel for about £100

but more info needed

thanks for the info. the part that is broken is on the motor that lifts the horse shoe, mounted in the middle of the boot.
its the plale that the motor and drive is mounted to, the plate that springs away when you operate the drive disconnect lever. it is broken at the pivot pin end.
cheers.

never seen one of those break before look on the first diagram and see if you can isolate the part...try Badboy007 or ceccotto who had some cab motor parts for sale first

it is part of no.9 . where the motor and round black plastic drive unit is mounted.

part 9 is the motor?..so it sounds as though you need a new flap motor...try ceccotto or Bill at the e30 CENTRE on 07968852395
