Have a 1990 325 touring, only fitted with footwell speakers, will the wiring be in place as standard for the rear speakers that go in the grilles in the back.

Not sure if they are there as standard but here's a quick check...
If you lift up the gaiter around the gearstick you should see 2 sets of red/black speaker wires (at least that's what's on mine)....

if you take off the rear wheelarch trim (the bit with the 'cubbyhoes' in it) you should see the speaker ounts and also the wiring harness as well.
if not shouldnt be too much trouble to run a wire to the back of the car-just run the wire under the carpet along the side of the car.

I have rear speakers and it looks like an afterfit, cables also look like an afterfit, so I would suggest on that they are not present. Although it could just be the fitter cba looking for them, I would find it strange that they would have different looms for different specs. Most car makers fit a full loom regardless of options.

Had 4 x E30 tourings and all had 4 speakers and were wired as standard - no "afterfits".

in the price and option list for the 1990 touring it lists rear speakers as an option but I would have thought the wiring should be there though.
