guys i converted half of my e30 yesterday to the 5 stud conversion using the following-

E36 Compact Rear Trailing Arms
Front E36 Legs(think they are 328 ones)
E30 Wishbones
Off Centric Bushes(lollipop)

right the 1 st problem im having is that i need to find the rear calipers for the compact trailing arms.

second problem is that the front wheel is sitting more close to the wing than centre!

can anyone please help me.

cheers

I believe you need wishbones from a post-98 E36 M3 to line the wheels up right - trying to collect bits for this myself!

Oh you might need adjustable top mounts too.

There is a thread some where and it used evo front hubs to get the wheel in the right spot

You need '97 onward e36 evo front control arms - those with the offset bushes you have will help to centre the wheel in the arch.

Summary from this thread

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... t=stud+evo

Rear

E30 rear beam with new bushes, modified to allow me to adjust camber and toe independantly.
E36/ZM (thats the Mcoupe and ZMRoadster, no the ti) rear arms. I chose these because they are re-inforced and have the VERY large E36 M3 brake and driveshaft setup.
E36 M3/ZM rear disks/calipers/handbrakes
E30 Handbrake cables
Custom (made myself) rear flexi hoses that run from the E30 body, down the handbrake cables to banjo type bolts at the calipers.
E30 H&R 325i springs
E30 Bilstein shocks
Or you can use a complete rear subframe from a E36 318ti

Front

E36 M3 struts
E30 325i springs
E36 ARB droplinks.
E36 M3 Evo (3.2) Hubs
E36 M3 Evo (3.2) Lower wishbones
E30 M3 eccentric bushes
Adjustable (for camber) E30 topmounts and spring platforms (from Uwe on the zone).

Help from Jai

hope this helps.

right guys,a bit of a update, bought some E36 M3 Evo front wishbones, they arrived on friday and i fitted one side up today, wheel sits kind of in the centre, but still at full lock it rubs on the inside of the wheel arch, and now the top part of the wheel is sitting further out than the bottom, basically has tooooo much postive camber.

I AM REALLY GETTING ANOYED WITH THIS AND NEARLY PULLED OUT THE HAMMER ON THE MOTOR,SOMEONE PLEASE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO SORT THIS OUT!

thankyou :x

Dude.. seriously. Look at the specs I've posted previously (on my phone at the moment and cba to re type it all).

You need the m3 evo hubs, wishbones and eccentric e30 bushes to get the required geometry. I also reccomend using the e36 m3 struts as they have smaller springs (same as the e30). I have this set up on mine and it centres perfectly. More to the point the castor is the same as an e30 m3. There are no cheap options doing this swap i'm afraid.

Hope this helps.

Jai.
