Hey guys removing the front bumper on a 1990 e30, what size of socket would i need to remove the 2 bolts under the bumper where the indicators are ?

I think it is a T55 Torx head. I broke 3 of the things trying to get mine off, hopefully you'll have more luck.

Main issue is corrosion between the bolt and the sleeve it sits in.
Last one that I fought took most of a can of WD40 to give in.
The difficulty is in getting WD40,or similar,to run up the bolt....
Once you have the head visible,(as the midwife said to the actress)leaverage can be applied to assist in final removal.,
You could,of course,remove the mounting bracket as well,but when I tried this one of the fixing bolts was just as difficult.....

t55 . i bought one last weekend to remove my bumpers.came of easily enough.

I found the front came free easily and the rear absolutely rusted solid. Defo t55 though

T55 and a good ratchet
the towing eye side you can cheat by squirting wd40 through the hole in the bumper !
make sure you get the T55 bit inserted properly they round off easily !
always coat the bolt with grease when re-fitting
