... when some dork at Bristol Airport parking used a jump-start pack. I assume he connected it the wrong way to the battery first time or something.

I think all the gubbins is behind the glovebox somewhere?

Can somebody tell me which bits I'm likely to have to replace, then I can ask Our Daz for some bits?

Thanks...

Oh don't worry mate, you'll be the first to know... I nearly slid into the back of a fecking lorry the other day when I decided to have a little sleep at the wheel... it's my age, you know... zzzzz....

Ooh, did you see that, they censored me - converting my "ferking" to "fudge". Tsk. Let's try "fecking".

Oh well... as long as they're not going to suggest that I PACK fudge...

I had this problem on my old Mk1 325i Sport. It was caused by a fuse wire within the relay blowing. Fortunately it is easy to fix.

From memory, the relay (small aluminium box) is located under the dashboard behind the glove box. If you remove the check straps you should be able to drop the glovebox down on its hinges to gain access. Take out the relay and carefully lever it open with a small screwdriver. You should then be able to see the blown fuse wire. Get hold of some similar resistance wire and solder it in place, after which the ABS should be fine again! Fuse wire should cost only a few pence.....
