Hello all,

Brake pad wear light is still on, I have had the dials off and looked at the connections, they all look fine. Apart from buying new sensors and swapping them out is there any way to find out if it a dodgy sensor?

Cheers

All the sensors are is a bit of wire which wears though, breaking the circuit. so you can just unplug and substitute a piece of wire or paperclip or whatever.

Anyone know if you need to do some sort of soft reset before the light will extinguish?

On my E39, I have to leave the ignition if position 2 for 10 seconds before the pad warning will reset. Not sure if the E30s are similar.

Martin.

No reset needed. I posted on this subject on another thread last week - use the search function.
