AUTO GEAR BOX REMOVAL

AS ABOVE IT HAS SPLIT 2 INCHES BUT WILL NOT COME APPART Y IS THIS HAVE I MISSED SOMETHIN

How do we know what you have and have not done?

Have you taken the three bolts out of the torque converter drive plate to split it from the torque converter itself?

You will need the casting off the bottom of the block which covers the back of the sump to access these.
Also have a good look round to see if there is any wiring or pipes that you have forgotten to disconnect.

it should slide straight off assuming all the bolts and prop is off !!

If all the gearbox bellhousing bolts are out than it should come out without removing the 3 torque converter bolts.

The torque converter will just stay attached to the engine.

The dipstick tube bracket can also cause problems
