Tha car just failed mot with a hole in the drivers side rear wishbone...

Does anyone know if a wish bone off the back of a 325 will fit on a 318 is?

Presume you mean the trailing arm,my understanding is that all disc braked rear ends are the same,but the arms from drum braked cars are a little different.

318is, 325, all cabs, all E30s with ABS and all tourings have the same trailing arms.
How on earth do you get a hole in a trailing arm, if that's what you mean?

I dont know, the mot tester poked a hole through it, yes i presume its the trailing arm, it carries the disk, the caliper, the drive shaft ad the rear wheel bearing and everything else on the rear...

It's made of painted steel, so it has the potential to rust, but I've never seen one with anything more than the lightest surface corrosion in a few areas!
In spite of what I wrote in my last post, all arms are not quite the same - If your car has ABS, you'll need one from an ABS car, which will have the fixing hole for the sensor. If your car doesn't have ABS, then either type will do.
