How to fix the temp sensor?

Hi,

How on earth do I get to the temp gauge on my 325i? I removed the panel (card) near bottom of the clusters but it's very tight up there.

The temp gauge is flicking all over the place. The rev counter is also stuck then flicks around.

Help most welcome :-)

Martin

Take the cluster out to get to the gauge, access from under the dash is best left to adept small children.

Sounds like you may have SI board issues anyway, so you'll need the cluster out.

ive had the same problem with mph dial on my tourer in the end it ended up being two connections located on the diff, check these out also had read up someone mentioned resoldering point in the cluster, hope this helps.

Page 1 does, but the steering wheel doesn't need to be removed.
