The brakes have started to squeel a bit when applied lightly and there is also a clunk sound coming from the back when the brakes are applied.
Any ideas on how to cure these?
Thanks,
Kevin.

squealing probably means your discs and pads are glazed over, take the brakes apart and using a fine grit sandpaper, clean the discs and pads, rebuild the brakes and use plenty of anti-squeal compound on the back of the pads, not on the braking surfaces

:yeahthat: copper grease on the BACK of the pads often helps squeling. taking them apart and cleaning them with cleaner then replacing them often gets rid of residue and dust etc
as for the rear clunk, all i can suggest is dodgy callipers mate if its a clunk
hope this helps

Thanks for the feedback guys. I now have a 318iS, so it is callipers at the back. Its going into the garage tomorrow so I'll get them to check the callipers.
Hope he does a better job than the one he did on Monday. He put in a new fuel vent pipe but kinked the hose attaching it, so the car cut out on me on a roundabout!!! I nearly had a heart attack.

Managed to get it back to the garage and get it fixed, properly this time.

The thing is that he's not a cowboy, I have been going to him for the last 10 years. This is the second time he's f****d up, which I suppose in 10 years aint bad, but the consequences could have been very serious, especially as I had the kids in the car with me.
