The heater on my 316 m10 was nice and toasty. Over the last few weeks it has been set to completely cold due to the excellent weather. This morning i was a bit chilly so i set it to hot, but still the air blows stone cold. After a little checking around, everything is hot upto the heater valve, so i think it may me seized shut. Can this be unseized at all, as i dont fancy changing it?!

Exact same thing happened to me as I discovered as we went into last winter :)

Is the valve getting power when it should? Earthed properly?

In my case the valve itself had seized shut solid, wouldn't move at all. Ended up just cutting the end of the valve off, still gets cold enough for me!
THIS is my thread when it broke :)
