Hi to all my fellow zone people.
I have asked this question before but did not get an answer or the right one that is. My car cuts out on me when it gets hot, Ive had it in the garage for two days & even they can't help. So far I have replaced the folowing: Plugs, ht leads, ignition coil & idle air valve not to mention the numerous test done by the garage. The mixture has been sorted out & a few other things. But the car still cuts out intermittantley when hot and idling. So when i'm comming up to a junction or just slowing down it will cut out and will not start for at least tem mins after.

Please can anyone help me as I am going mad here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers dom

blue temp sensor. Under a tenner at GSF. My symptoms were the same. if I interveened and dabbed the gas just once it would start to fight for revs and then stall. Another way to notice (if sure air intake is fine) is will be overfueling. might want to clean spark plugs up after changing also. This is all if memory serves correctly so might want to put this through the mechanic or another zoner. my 2p

Thats been changed today & it still cuts out. It's crazy the engine ticks over at a constant 800 rpm, not missing a beat & then it just cuts out. The revs drop off very quick and it dies! even the bloody mechanic was scratching his head! :?

could possibly be a faulty fuel pump relay.

When it dies, does the rev counter drop to zero instantly, or drop with the engine revs?

oh and that tells if its the relay or the engine dieing

if its the old 325 engine, could it be that early engine with the ignition module on the n/s arch by the air flow meter

do they fail?

It'll give an indication as to whether the problem is sparks or fuel related.
