E30 Zone

Is there an easy way of putting the engine and box back in the E30. It looks to be a bit tight to get the engine and box in complete, but mounting the gearbox onto the engine in place looks to be a bit fiddle when putting the 2 top belhousing bolts in.

I'm sure there is an easy way to do this so any advice would be grateful

Lift the rear of the car,I find DiY type ramps almost perfect.Lift the engine/'box by a strap,an old seat belt is good,positioned on the front lifting eye by the dizzy cap and the lug cunningly hidden by the starter,may well take a couple of attempts to get the 'dangle angle' just right but it will go.A trolley jack or a skate board or similar under the back of the gearbox will help as you slide it all into position.
