front wheel bearings

i have some exchange struts to go on a sport what i need to know is can i transfere my wheel bearings over to the exchange struts ? the bearings are the abs ones and quite expensive to buy i know as both are new :cry:

Once fitted to a car, you cant remove them.

well not exactly, removing them breaks them, and the useful life is drasticly short.

Im sure that'n NOT what you wanted to hear, but....

That's the official line, but it depends how much they fight back when you try to remove them.
If the good bearings are attached to scrap struts, then it's worth a try. I have struck lucky before.
Swop the retaining nuts from side to side and unless you are unlucky, you'll be able to stake them again. (B.Moore, proprietor,Skinflint engineering)

thanks brian ill give it a go not got much to loose really ,only about Ԛ£100 bucks ,lol
