changing 316i engine with e34 520i m20 engine

Hey guys, i've got a 316i m40 engine and was thinking about upgrading the car with a 2L m20 engine and 5 spd manual gearbox from a 1989 520i e34, would this work? and if so would i need anything else from the 520i for the engine upgrade to work?

you will need a lot of bits to make that engine fit an e30 the sumps are different the dip stick is different and the wiring loom is differnet and also you will need springs from a 6 cylinder car but it will fit with all that work done. all those bits you need i also have in my garage so if you do go ahead with the plan you have and have to get the bits let me no and i will sort something out with you

you will also need a m20b20 prop shaft
