Over reving Idle

Hi

My car has started doing this recently:

When I put the clutch in, the revs dont drop down to 800 where they should, they sometimes stick about 1500rpm. If I blip the throttle, they drop down. I have checked the TPS and throttle cable and both are working perfectly. Could the only other thing be the ICV? Is there any way this can be checked or taken apart to fix the internals?

Cheers

I cleaned the ICV with carb cleaner without taking it apart.

I have cleaned the insides out and sprayed inside with WD40 and it is still the same. Maybe its buggered. Anyone got a decent one for sale?

Cheers

If a blip on the throttle sorts the problem out, maybe it's an intermittent problem problem with the TPS. This happened on mine and turned out to be a dry solder joint on the idle switch inside the TPS.

mine was doing very similar turned out mine as the hose from the icv to the airbox was split, soon as i changed it no more over revving, not saying it is but worth a look took me a month to figure this out.
