325 MOT goodness

Hi guys,
I took my car for an MOT this morning, it came to steering rack being knackered and copper break pipe between front and rear being corroded. Steering rack replacement seems straight forward enough, but what do you do/where do you go to re-plumb the break pipe?
Cheers

you can do it yourself but can be quite awkward as you would need to bend the pipe to shape.
Other than that any reputable garage should be able to do it for you. The pipe itself no more than £10 to £15 it's the labour that will be the worst for the wallet.

Are you sure? The original pipe is steel.
If it's copper it's already been replaced at some time, and I wouldn't expect a copper one to corrode, although it may fracture.
A copper alloy pipe should be used in preference to pure copper.

Thanks Brian, I will keep that in mind. An audi mechanic did the visual check for me, probably got a few details wrong anyway.
Still trying to find a way to do this - its yet another mini e30 adventure ;)
