Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but need some help!
I've just had the worst telephone call of my life (no-ones dead but almost as bad) but the workshop have called and reported excessive rust on my pride and joy!

Originally it was in to get the near side front jack point replaced and some small MOT welds done but it seems it's worse than expected. According to the guy who was doing the work, it looks like Fred Flinstones motor! The rot has spead to the sills, can anyone help with suggestions on where I can get oversills?? or am I aswell trying to find a solid shell and transferring my good bits over? Any help with this would be appreciated.

We can't possibly tell from here whether your shell is scrap or not, without a lot more detail, and preferably lots of photos.
Replacing the sills is no huge bodywork job, so if that's the sum total of rust on the car, get stuck in. If there's extensive rusting elsewhere as well (rear arches and front bulkhead in particular), then put it out of its misery.

as brian said we really need photos,
obviously of the sills, but also pull the carpets back in the boot and check the inner arches, pop the bonnet and check the scuttle panel at the bottom of the windscreen, under the washer bottle,at the baulkhead under the fuse box, these are just a few places,
another quick check is to hit the wing with the palm of your hand (not hard )but enough to loosen any rot,do this near where the wing meets the front bumper,do the same on the rear arches but all over but concentrate near the bottom wher it meets the sill
has the garage only told you about the sills or have they mentioned other places where its gone?
