Hiya excuse me if this has already been covered.

My fuel pump seems really noisey (well I assume its the fuel pump!), is this a sign that it needs replacing? or do they just run like this? are the expensive to replace?

I remember I had a mk3 XR3i once and had a well noisy pump but lasted for ages!

depends on the noise, if its a really loud bassy humming/whirring type noise, id bet its the pump, done it on an old 318i i had pretty simple job, but can be messy
