ant time i let my foot off the power i hear a weird knocking noise comin from the back of the car i think it may be someit to do with the diff any advice would be great thanks kendy

Diff rear mount bush could well be shot.

If the bolts that hold the diff to the rear beam are slack it can cause knocking as well.

axle carrier bushes??? or all of the above

Body in boot not as dead as you thought?

it could be the diff bearings or teeth if youve been doing a lot of hard pull offs or drifting. Ive blew 3 now and they stated banging and nocking before having no drive at all?!?

sorry to hijack but mine knocks from the rear at initial pulling off once moving its fine. its also there when slowing i replaced axle bushes and trailing arm bushes so i know there ok top mounts are new also the car is a 318 so no roll bar etc.

silly point, but mine had a strange ticking which turned out to be one of the bbs wheel centers loose and bobbing about when cruising at low speed... Dont overlook the obvious...

might be the CV joints
