Hello guys, a friend of mine is looking for a 4.10 LSD (small case) for his 1990 318is, I didn't think you could even get a 4.10 but my knowledge isn't all that great that's why i'm asking you guys.
How hard to get and expensive would one be do you think?
P.S if this post is in the wrong place please move it for me. :D

thanks

i got a small case 4.10 for my 318is a year ago for £300, they were an option on the 318is so they're not that common.

Thanks for the answers guys. So as per usual he wants the rarest thing going, suppose a different ratio would prob be the way to go but a 4.10 would have rapid acceleration wouldn't it?
That one on fleapit looks nice but part of me can't help wondering how reconditioned the guts are.

The 4.10 ratio diff is the same as the one in the car as standard so leaves acceleration unchanged.

Why not run a 3.91 lsd which there are far more common then use 205/50/15 tyres which are cheaper than 205/55/15 and you get more choice including track tyres.

This is what im doing, dont notice any difference between this and a 4.10 now.
