ecu chips ???

guys just want to know what ecu chips are good for my 325i se 1988.

speedtouch has given me 2 types of ecu's he is selling with info they are..

"""" The EcoTorq (M20B25 Mild), suitable for 173/380/381 ECU code, gives +7bhp, significantly enhances the torque for driveability/improved fuel economy (expect at least an extra 2-3mpg average) and eliminates flat spots, also has a 7,000rpm rev limit.

The Wild can indeed provide up to 192bhp when combined with a BBTB, sixbranch and 268/268 cam as per Alpina C2 2.5 spec, but has a rev limit of 6500rpm. 0-60 will be under 7 seconds with this spec, but if you are after a lower 0-60 with a standard engine, I'd recommend the Mild as the extra low-down grunt makes it far easier to achieve this.

(In any case, most M20B25 engines will give peak bhp at well under 6000rpm so the higher rev limit is really just for when you want to indulge the higher revs either for amusement or when revving hard in the lower gears.) """""

im after a ecu chip that can make my engine go faster, reach 7000 on my rev meter smoothly also provide decent fuel economy and give me more bhp. so far speedtouch has suggested the " mild ecu chip"...but what do you guys recommend ??

thanks.

Do you do M20B20 chips as well? Are they better than the ones Speedtouch does?

if i was u i would go for the mild, cus its more suitable for driving on the road, u feel the power in the mid rev range after about3k rpm it goes crazy where as from what i hear the wild is more for track use, apparently the power increase is more in the higher rev ranges and u dont really need that much power at that high of a rev range on public roads. cus for how long will u be that high up o the rev counter on public roads. i got the mild n i have no regrets. also speetouch is a good guy to buy your chip from, i tried to buy a chip from evolve but they screwed up, so jus went to speedtouch n i got it the next day.

i bought a 30quid chip off ebay it came from the states for a euro spec car, done exaclty what it said, raised rpm limit to 7000, removed fuel cut off on over run below 2000ish rpm, and the car sounds alot sharper, i reckon its a bit faster aswell, never had a rolling road done on it though and also i have a full stainless and a high pressure fuel regulator dunno what it would be like on a standard vehicle but certainly best 30 pound i ever spent on mine
