Guys,

The horn only seems to work when the steering wheel is straight. If i turn the wheel in any direction, it stops working! Ive a tec 2 wheel on. Any ideas?

Funny how these things crop up in the same time  Take off the steering wheeld and clean the ring on the back of the wheel, and also check the bottom of the rack where the spring is located, wd40 it put it back and should be ok.Did mine on saturday

I have cleaned the ring but still no joy. Could it be that the copper thing that touches the ring is worn out?

Yea could be. Pull out the sprung copper, clean it and try again, all it is is a really bad connection between the two.Keep at it, I just customised mine with a spring and domed self tapper, replaced the wheel and hey presto, it works.

Connect a piece of wire between a good body earth and the steering column (the part that turns), or, if you have the horn push in the centre cap, to the earth wire. See if this cures the fault.
