Indicator problem -when I indicate left the wheels fall off

okay thet don't but posts about indicators are boring and no-one reads them :o:
I'd be quite pathetically grateful for any help with this.
Indicating left I get the fast ticking and no green light flashing on the binnacle and no indicators.
Indicating right was fine but as of yesterday I get fast ticking/flashing and the front indicator doesn't work. Green light in binnacle lights up fine.
hazards work except for this front light one.

All bulbs and fuses are tested and fine.

I have tried:
cleaning switch and checking connections on switch and relay.
New relay
joining pins 1 and 5 on the harness for the hazard light switch.
Looking for broken wires around the stereo, everything looks neat and undisturbed.

What next? the stalk? -any tests for it?

Do you have an alarm? If you do that could be effecting it.

I had the same problem...

"Indicating left I get the fast ticking and no green light flashing on the binnacle and no indicators. "

I could get the left indicators working by pressing the stalk forward then indicating, but even that became intermittent after a while.

I fixed it by replacing the stalk. It's pretty straight forward...just take the wheel off, undo the steering cover, unplug 3 or 4 cables / plugs, and fit the new one. I picked up a set of indicator & wiper stalks (& loom) for £10 from the zone. It's a 15-20 min job tops.

I just got hold of a wiring diagram and connected between the pins for the green/yellow wire and the blue/red wire and guess what it worked so the stalk is at fault -thanks Cyman. The front right indicator must be a separate problem. If anyone has similar problem you can test the switch in the stalk by connecting blue/red to yellow/green for left and blue black to yellow/green for right. If indicators work then the stalk is the problem (i think, I'm not great at electrics)

"Indicating right was fine but as of yesterday I get fast ticking/flashing and the front indicator doesn't work..

I had the same prob mate, the bulb worked fine as well.

So after quite a while , I did change the bulb and no probs since then.
