Jumpy Rev Counter!!

Hi folks.

The rev counter in my 325i is jumping all over the place and doesn't seem to match the end revs at all, also the MPG swinger doesn't seem to work.

I have swapped the clocks for another set but this hasn't sorted it.

Can any of you shed some light on this please?

Cheers
Dave

Si board batteries may have given up the ghost. I'd try another set of clocks go through the drama of changing them.

Don't the SI board batteries just control the servicelights or are they more involved than that? What kind of battery do i need?

Ive got them same problem, this happend after the battery had been disconnected for a day.
So it sounds likely that its something to do with batteries in the dash.
Let me know if you sort this and Ill do the same
Goodluck!
