Engine misfires after changing the chain

as above, m42 318is,misfires & misses at idle speed. It is ok when driving and just failed MOT b'se CO is too high. Please help.

it sounds to me like youve moved something before you put the chain back on so your cam timing could be out id get it sorted quick before it does any damage

only moved one tooth on one of the sprockets-didnt touch the cams

sounds like an air leak somewhere dude!
squeeze the breather hose @ the top of the rocker cover, if the idle is restored to pukka you need to reseal the rocker box correctly

Now if you only moved one tooth and the engine now runs rough what do you think it could be ?

Well on most engine's i've worked on the sproket is bolted to the cam.
If your's is not then you must have some magical engine
