front wishbones

hi
i need to know can i all change the bushings on 325i sport my mechanic has told me i have to buy 2 new wishbones as some can not be replaced is this true any help greatly accepted

It sounds like your mechanic probably means you have some worn ball joints.
If most of the ball joints are bust, and your paying for labour, it'll be cheaper to replace the complete wishbone, as it'll take your mechanic alot less time than removing and press fitting each ball joint.
The cost of buying 4 ball joints (2 each side) is the same as 2 wishbones arms.
If your balljoints are shot, ... it sounds like good advise from your mechanic.

is this a stupid question
would i be able to put in powerflex bushes or would it just make more sense to get to 2 new wishbones,

there are two bushes that fit on the rear of the wishbones powerflex do make them but they cost a bit e30 m3 ones will do the same job for alot less and they are £25 a pair from the dealers. and if your car is a touring it may have alloy arms and the bal joint cannot be changed in them ones
