hey guys started noticing the smell of fumes while driving my e30 318is M42 more noticably when driving hard getting high in the rev range think it might be an leaky exhaust manufold gasket is there anyway of checking any ideas?????

Exhaust fumes? Petrol fumes? This might help.

If its petrol fumes, check under the inlet manifold for fuel leaks as the pipes do perish over time.

...and if its exhaust fumes the manifold can crack easily n M42`s.

check your rerar inner arches, if theres any holes in there its common for exhaust fumes to come in or am i

lol just checked for fuel leeks all pipes under intake manifold are good just checked the exhaust manifold which also looks good no cracks or holes of any kind also have noticed a lack of power
