also i have been told that i need to remove some of the dash to replace it! is this true?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi ted, are you sure its the motor that has stopped and not the resistor?. Doe,s your fan work in position 4?.
Not trying to teach you to suck eggs btw.

Does it not work on any of the settings?

Here's a guide how to change them over...

Mine is an 88 aswell, and that guide was right for me.

no dash removal needed if the motor isnt turning

remove the panel on centre of bulkhead under bonnet and chances are a re clean up n regrease of the motor will solve the prob

my old sport fan stopped i wascold for ages but when i touched the motor it started to spin freely again quick wd round it and it never stopped again

well worth a try

I tried that trick by simply touching the moter and fans and funnily enough it has started working again on numbers 2,3, and 4. lets see how long it lasts this time!

thanksfor the advice guys.

cheers
