water in boot

just found out today that there is water getting into the boot nearside pocket where the jack is stored any ideas how to cure this please

New Bootlid rubber, sparky ,or maybe rear light gasketss.
Try pouring water around the rubber while you have the boot open and see where it.s getting in.

You havent said model, if it has a aerial it could be that. My advice would be to dry it out as best you can. Chuck a bit of talc powder around then pour water all over it, that should hopefully give you a idea where its coming from.

Or get in the boot with a torch while some one tips water on it. I did that and there was water pissing in through the light gasket

Pull back the trim and check the drain from the aerial. I replaced mine and it solved the problem.

Aerial, rear light seals, boot seal, rear number plate light seals, or rust or rust

Possibly a dislodged sunroof drain tube.

All the above and im sure you find a cure.
Just dont allow rain near your E30.
